Easy Business Class Upgrades on AirTran

Low-cost carrier AirTran continues to reach out to business travelers. Along with offering what they refer to as “first and only affordable Business Class,” they’re also making it easier for travelers to upgrade to business class at the gate.

You can request an upgrade to business class when you purchase your airline ticket, or you can see if an upgrade is available from an agent at your departure gate. Upgrades are first come, first serve, and cost varies depending on the length of the flight for direct flights ($49 - $99) and for connecting flights ($98 - $198).

AirTran Increases Benefits for A+ Rewards Members

The frequent flier program changes keep on coming. However, the latest may actually benefit travelers. While many of the recent adjustments to frequent flier programs have included added fees, elimination of minimum miles, and reduced overall benefits for members, AirTran is attempting to go the other way by offering a bit more for their A+ Rewards members.

AirTran looks to make it easier for frequent fliers to upgrade, to have their questions answered, and to earn and redeem their A+ credits. The announcement came this week, and according to the carrier, the changes directly address complaints and concerns voiced about other frequent flier programs. AirTran 3-Day Business Class Airfare Sale

AirTran is offering “business class comfort at sale prices” until 11:59 PM ET on August 22, 2008. You’ll find business class airfare for as low as $134+ one-way to destinations throughout the country.

AirTran business class offers more leg room, more elbow room, and more seat room. You’ll also enjoy priority boarding, complimentary cocktails, and a touch of luxury that you won’t find in coach.
