Business Class Luxury on British Airways

Filed under: Luxury, Business Class, British Airways — mike @ 5:21 pm

Over the last few weeks, we’ve highlighted international business class flights on several US-based airlines. This week, we wanted to take a look at what British Airways has to offer.

BA has plans to challenge business-class only carriers like eos and SilverJet with business class-only offerings of their own. However, they are also rolling out a new Club World business class cabin that aims to change the way business class travelers look at luxury…

Comfort on British Airways Business Class

British Airways is approaching their new business class cabin as a private space that gives you the freedom to work, sleep, eat, and relax in complete comfort. The highlight of this new business class cabin is the flat bed. It’s not the “full recline” seat that most business class cabins offer. It is 25% wider than British Airways’ original flat bed, and it features a memory foam headrest, and a quilt. You can lay down and watch your personal TV, while you relax behind your privacy screen.

Entertainment on British Airways Business Class
Your television features touch-screen controls that give you the ability to pause the movies, TV shows, and games that are offered. There is also interactive games and shows designed specifically for children.

Dining on British Airways Business Class
Between meals, you’ll have easy access to a range of snacks, sandwiches, wraps, fruit, beverages, and much more. British Airways is also committed to providing you with enough room to dine comfortably.

The new Club World cabin also features additional work space, an in-chair phone, spa amenities, and more. When you land, you can shower and freshen up at one of British Airways’ arrival lounges, and if you fly into Heathrow, you can even enjoy a “complimentary well-being treatment at the Elemis Travel Spa while the valet service presses your suit.”

British Airways plans on having the new Club World cabin rolled out across its fleet by the end of 2008.
