Business Class Flights: French Style

Filed under: Business Class, Europe, L'Avion — mike @ 3:36 pm

Last week, we took a look at the business class luxury on L’Avion. Well, the French-based carrier is making a push to get American business travelers to take notice.

Recent PR from L’Avion highlights everything from their bilingual staff to the comfort and cuisine that they feel sets them apart from other international business class carriers, big and small.

Keep reading for a taste of that je ne sais quois that makes L’Avion different…

With just 90 seats on a B757-200 (as opposed to the usual 220), travelers enjoy more leg room, more elbow room, and a bit more personal air than in the average business class cabin. L’Avion hopes this will give you the feeling of flying on a large private jet.

On your journey from New York to Paris, you can feast on French-style meals and wash it all down with a glass of Bordeaux wine. You can spend your downtime reading through international newspapers and magazines, or watching movies and TV shows on your personal digital entertainment center. When you arrive at Orly airport, you’ll be close to Paris and have a range of connecting flights to destinations throughout Europe to choose from.

It’s safe to say that L’Avion offers similar perks to all business-class airlines like Silverjet, but they are banking on the fact that travelers flying to and from Paris will have a more enjoyable journey with a carrier that has a bit of French flair to go with the amenities. So far, they have been garnering attention on these shores, but as with many of the other smaller low-airfare business class carriers, it remains to be seen if they can challenge the likes of the big boys like Air France and the US-based airlines with service to Paris.
