Porter Airlines is a Canadian-based carrier that hopes to change the way American business travelers think about economy class. Starting March 31st, Porter Airlines will be bringing their brand of “stylish short-haul service” to the US with seven daily roundtrip flights between Toronto City Centre Airport (TCCA) and Newark Liberty International Airport. They fly out of a dedicated terminal at TCCA, offering a more relaxed atmosphere and a stream-lined check-in process. Business travelers can also expect to find more leg room than they would in a standard economy/coach cabin, as well as complimentary “premium” snacks, beer, and wine.
Porter Airlines is dedicated to providing speed and convenience to its customers with bit of style thrown in. Leather upholstery and designer crew uniforms are examples of the subtle touches the carrier hopes will attract American business travelers.
