Business/First Class Travel Deals of the Week

Just because you want to fly in style, doesn’t mean you should have to pay for it. Let FareCompare help you fly first class at coach prices.

In the mean time, here are a few of the best First and Business class deals we’ve seen this week for international and domestic travel…

  • Business Class: $1,482+ R/T (1,575 out-the-door) for travel on selected dates in February.

Nashville to Detroit - Northwest Airlines

  • First Class: $331+ R/T ($375 out-the-door).
  • This airfare is available for travel dates in February (after Feb. 9th). As a point of reference, first class airfare on this flight for travel next week is running $1,358+ R/T.

New York to London - Silverjet

New York to Paris - TAP Portugal

  • Business Class: $2,330+ R/T
  • First Class: $3,470+ R/T
  • We know this deal doesn’t qualify as a “cheapie,” but it’s for travel to Paris over Valentine’s Day, so if you want romance and luxury, you should look into it.

  1. How is one supposed to book these special fares? Every time I try it through an airline’s own website, all I get are the regular fares, not those listed on First Class. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

  2. I bought 3 tickets to Quito from JFK on Lasca through Vayama.com that were listed as “business” on the itinerary and the e-mail confirmation. But when I tried to book seats Lasca told me they were in economy. Vayama tells me that I searched for economy and the fact that their offer and confirmation say business is irrelevant. Do I have any recourse?

  4. Carl,

Y-Up fares and other discount first class fares are subject to availability just as any other airfare. Even if an airline lists them, not every one will have a chance to book them. However, Y-Up can be found on an airline’s website. The Y-up discussed in the Y-Up post:

    http://firstclass.farecompare.com/2008/01/08/fly-first-class-for-less-than-coach/

was listed under Business Class or higher with restrictions. It varies depending on the airline site, but Y-Ups and other similar fares are true first class fares, not coach fares or upgrades.

  5. I am trying to fly cheaply from Europe, specificaly Ponta Delgada in the Azores, but Portugal will do.It seems that every time I try, I get flights from the states. I would like to travel to Montreal or Toronto, Canada around September 20th.Thank you.
If I am searching from Europe for flights where do I go?
I’m familiar with cheap airlines like Ryanair and Easy Jet are there others?
